FR-Z 041 Automatic direct shear / residue resistance test device is designed to determine the largest softened (consolidated and drained) shear resistance and residue shear resistance parameters by cutting along a horizontal plane under direct shear load on coarse and fine grain soil samples that are not anvil or compressed.
FR-Z 041 Automatic direct shear / residue resistance test device is a ground-mounted and motorized test device. The 9:1, 10:1 and 11:1 leveraged loading system is standard with the device. The lever used to increase the vertical load applied to the cutting box can carry a weight of up to 50 kilograms, and the total load can thus reach up to 5 KN (5000 N).
The device is designed to allow experimentation with cutting boxes with square cross-section (60 mm and 100 mm) and circle cross-section (60 mm, 100 mm and 2.5 inch). Cutting box tools, on the other hand, are specially designed to prevent leakage of water surrounding the sample. Cutting Box Sets are supplied with cutting box with round or square section and rigid side wall, vertical loading head(back side with Groove), corrugated base plate, 2 porose stones (porous disc), 2 flat grating plates and 2 perforated grating plates.
The cutting box device is powered by a high-definition servo motor and gear box assembly. The speed can be adjusted in a completely stepless way, in both directions( forward and backward), from 0.00001-9.99999 mm/min to a user preferential value. At the end of the experiment, the return speed is 10 mm/minute. Load measurement is done with a load cell with a capacity of 5kN. Displacement is measured by linear Potentiometric displacement sensors at 25 x 0.001 mm horizontally and 10 x 0.001 mm vertically. The displacement amount is controlled by position switch/limit switch.
