Plate loading test sets are used to determine the final carrying capacity of the ground-compacted Foundation and sub-base dirt road components. Plate loading experiments provide data for the design and exchange of rigid and flexible type Airport and Highway subfloor coverings.
The experiment is carried out by applying a load to a steel loading plate placed on the layer to be measured with the help of a hydraulic jack and detecting the deformation occurring in the layer.
