Explanation
Concrete:

V-Meter MK IV ™ is widely used and accepted for quality control and inspection of concrete. It can measure and correlate concrete strength with standard strength measurement, allowing non-destructive inspection of all structures. Identify honeycomb cavities, cavities, frozen concrete, cracks and other inhomogeneous conditions in concrete. Ultrasonic testing of new and old structures, slabs, columns, walls, fire damaged areas, hydroelectric structures, pipe, precast and pre-stressed beams, cylinders and other concrete forms can be applied. A wide variety of transducers are available.

Wood Materials:

V-Meter MK IV ™ performs ultrasonic testing of wood materials non-destructive and can detect knots, cracks, splits, grain position, unexpected cracks, rot and mildew presence. Basic parameters such as modulus of elasticity (young’s Modulus) and density can be calculated. Practical applications include field testing of power poles and structures, grading in the manufacturing process, fire escape inspection, inspection of laminates, and paper roll density. The speed of ultrasonic energy pulses moving in a solid material is related to the density and elastic properties of the material. The transition rate is thus a measure of the density and elastic properties of the material.

Ceramic:

V-Meter MK IV ™ can be successfully applied to a range of ceramic products including tile, heat resistant bricks and blocks, furnace furniture and graphite. In increased heat resistance and ceramic applications, the ultrasonic pass rate test technique can be used with positive results. UPV testing allows users to improve production processes, improve the integrity and quality of their products, and reduce scrap and margin of error, saving both time and economically. In today’s economy, not ignoring such net profits will contribute to the producer’s significant savings and development.
