When the water content of fine-grained cohesive soils falls below the plastic limit value, the shrinkage continues until the soil reaches the shrinkage limit. By this experimental method, the shrinkage limit, shrinkage rate, volumetric shrinkage and linear shrinkage are determined.
The shrinkage limit experiment set is provided with the following.
