Explanation:
It is used to measure the penetration resistance of the mortar sifted from the concrete mixture in order to determine the socket time in fresh concrete. The load reading scale of spring type loading system penetrators is divided between 10lbf and 150 lbf with a range of 2 lbf. On the piston rod, there is a sliding ring indicating the reached load.
