Cementometer ™ Moisture Determination

T-C-10 Cementometer ™ Type R Full System, For Normal Water-Cement Ratio Ranges/T-C-20 Cementometer ™ Type L Full System, For Low Water-Cement Ratio Ranges

Explanation:

The James Cementometer ™ represents a turning point in modern moisture measurement technology. Using the latest microwave and microprocessor science, Cementometer ™ can determine the moisture content of fresh cement, concrete and mortar. Place the probe tabs in the material to be measured, and the water-cement ratio will be displayed on the easy-to-read screen immediately. The Cementometer ™ microwave Moisture Meter uses a two-nail sensor to measure the complex electrical constant of the material in contact with the nails. Because the dielectric constant of water is larger than most carbon and cement by four to eight Catharines, changes in its water content directly affect sensor output. An average of five to ten readings are normally made to provide a valid reading. This output is then converted by the integrated microprocessor, and the moisture content can be displayed directly. There are two devices that determine the entire water-cement ratio in wet concrete. The Cementometer ™ Type R determines the normal water-cement ratios with its two-pronged probe. The range of this device is about 0.35 to 0.65 water-cement. The Cementometer ™ Type l determines low water-cement ratios with its five-prong probe. The range of this device is about 0.25 to 0.4 water-cement. The devices come calibrated for standard Type I, II and III Cements. It can also be programmed by the user into up to ten different mix designs. For maximum accuracy, the user must program the unit for the material used. Cementometer ™ Type R has an easy-to-use calibration process that quickly creates user programs without the need for an external computer. Finally, Cementometer ™ can store more than 150 values. Storage is performed by entering the time and date, as it may be needed in the future. Data can be transferred via USB to a computer running the James Cementometer ™ software.
