A number of values are taken along the length of the core sample to obtain the average amount of recoil.<\/p>\n<p>The core sample, NX 5 54.7 mm long, is held in a special bed in a horizontal position and the same test is performed along the length of the hammer to obtain an average reading.<\/p>\n<p>The Test Cradle is used to hold ex \u220521.46 mm and NX \u2205 54.74 mm cores, as per rock classification test procedures.
